Our Motivation

The challenges for today’s collegiate athlete are demanding on and off the field.  NCAA reforms requiring higher academic performance have begun to phase in.  The pressures to maintain peak performance often require on and off-season commitments that make the balancing of athletic performance and academic success a constant struggle.  These reforms, although they seem to affect only student-athletes, also pose challenges for the collegiate coaches and Athletic Directors, as they remain constantly positioned between on-field performance and academic success.  Graduation rates are under the watchful eye of the NCAA and sooner than later, the NCAA will begin to scrutinize the relationship between a person’s degree and job placement.

Our Method 

The AfterSport Group works with Athletic Directors, Academic Counselors and Life Skills Coordinators to implement a program designed to prepare current and former student-athletes to enter the workforce.
